  • Finish Bachelor's Degrees Sooner: At Bond, students won’t lose time with long breaks between semesters. Bond runs three full semesters a year, with intakes in January, May and September. This means that students can complete a standard bachelor’s degree in just two years. It also means they will be out in the workforce up to a year ahead of the rest, earning sooner. In addition to fast-tracked bachelor’s programs, Bond offers a range of 2-year ‘Professional’ master’s programs for international students interested in applying for a Post Study Work visa.

Program Description

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is designed to improve your academic English and study skills so you can enrol in a Bond University program. The EAP program is a full-time program encompassing three levels with each level taking one semester (14 weeks) to complete. Bond University College runs three semesters per year so it is possible to complete all three levels within 12 months and transition seamlessly to degree-level studies at Bond University.

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is an intensive English language program specifically designed to assist international students wishing to enter Bond University. 

The EAP program provides students with the academic language skills required in a university where English is the medium of instruction; these skills include the macro areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking (including pronunciation) as well as critical thinking and research skills.

Program Description

General English programs are available at six levels graded from beginner to advanced with each level lasting 10 weeks. Students that are unable to commence at the beginning of a 10-week cycle may commence halfway through at the 6-week point.
 
General English is a program that helps students achieve their English language proficiency goals in everyday communication. A wide range of contemporary topics and video materials are used, helping students discover English in the context of the modern world and making the learning process more memorable and engaging. Active Teach methods (from the Cutting Edge curriculum) are employed using interactive whiteboard tools, DVD, audio, transcripts, dictionary and additional resources encouraging autonomous learning.
 
Students can enter at any level of English, starting with communicative and functional General English and progressing to academic English Programs. The General English programs are 10 weeks long while the Academic Program (English for Academic Purposes) are 14 weeks long. Both the General English program and Academic English Programs include 20 hours of face to face classroom time and 5 hours of self-directed study and the General English Program also includes 5 hours of self-directed study.

The Bond University College Foundation Program is a two semester program that enables students to learn the core academic skills required for entry into undergraduate study here at Bond University.

The Bond University College Foundation Program provides a pathway for international students to pursue undergraduate studies. It meets the requirements for Foundation Programs, which are registered on CRICOS for delivery in Australia to international students, who are seeking entry to university undergraduate programs.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 50.0% Convert grades
  • English Proficiency Requirements:

    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

    • Min TOEFL iBT: 50
    • Min IELTS overall: 5.5 (Min Reading: 5.0, Min Writing: 5.0, Min Listening: 5.0, Min Speaking: 5.0)
    NOTE: Applicants interested in applying for direct admission, but are yet to complete an acceptable language test, can do so, but must provide valid results before receiving a final offer letter.

    For conditional admission, you are required to provide English proficiency scores:
