The English for Academic Purposes 2 (EAP2) course will help you develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills required for university study at a high level.

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
  • Min GPA: 50.0% Convert grades
  • You are required to provide English proficiency score:
    • Min TOEFL iBT: 35
    • Min IELTS overall: 5

Program Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a defined and limited range of tourism operational skills and basic industry knowledge. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision. This qualification provides a pathway to work in many tourism and travel industry sectors and for a diverse range of employers including travel agencies, tour wholesalers, tour operators, attractions, cultural and heritage sites, and any small tourism business.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 10
  • Min GPA: 50.0% Convert grades
  • English Proficiency Requirements:

    For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:

    • Min TOEFL iBT: 65 (Min Reading: 15.0, Min Writing: 15.0, Min Listening: 15.0, Min Speaking: 15.0)

Program Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use a range of well-developed tourism services sales or operational skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to coordinate tourism services. Using discretion and judgment, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.
 
This qualification provides a pathway to work in many tourism industry sectors and for a diversity of employers including tour operators, inbound tour operators, visitor information centres, attractions, cultural and heritage sites, and any small tourism business. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in office-based roles involving the planning and coordination of tourism services, or roles in the field where products are delivered.
